CLIFTON

Clifton is a small village on the River Cherwell, which at this point is the county boundary with Northamptonshire. Clifton is a village of honey-coloured ironstone and brick.

Although Clifton had a 19th century chapel which was dedicated to St. James the Great it was declared redundant and sold for commercial use in 1974.

Clifton is about 6 miles south of Banbury and about a mile and a half east of Deddington on the B4031.
