TADMARTON

Tadmarton is a mixture of dwellings of different styles and ages, some of them being in the local dark honey-coloured ironstone. It is an attractive little village and spreads along the main Banbury to Shipston-on-Stour road.

The parish church is the Grade I listed Early Norman Church of St. Nicholas. The building was enlarged and the bell tower added in the 13th century. Full information about the Church of St. Nicholas can be found here.

The manor house has a Grade II* listed 15th century barn, believed to have been built for Abingdon Abbey.

Tadmarton is about 4 miles west of Banbury on the B4035.
